The CIC Montreal Local Section will hold its annual Symposium on May 1st, 2023. Please join us for this day which will honor the Greater Montreal community of chemical sciences.

The Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC) is a member-based not-for-profit association and is an inclusive network representing Canadian chemical sciences community with the mission to enhance skills, advance careers, and celebrate achievements. Membership in the CIC is free for students, recent graduates, and unemployed professionals. The Montreal section is run by volunteers in the chemical sciences profession, and we aim to bring together all chemistry stakeholders of the greater Montreal area from industry, academia, technology, and government alike and to foster a sense of community.

In this spirit, we have organized this Symposium, where the theme is entrepreneurship and technology transfer. To this end, we have two entrepreneurs who have started their own companies in the chemical sciences giving two plenary talks, Josh Pottel from Molecular Forecaster, and Nathan Hordy from Anomera. We will hold our annual general meeting to elect next years’ executive committee, provide lunch, have a student poster session, and finally host a networking session for professionals and students to mingle.
