Following the success of our first virtual networking 5a7, we are happy to present the second event which will take place July 8th from 5 to 7pm.

Due to the ongoing restrictions on social interaction, the networking will take place entirely online via Zoom.

This month we will hear from Julia Del Re, a Research Scientist at AIM Solder.

Julia Del Re completed her PhD in the Department of Chemistry at McGill University under the supervision of Prof. Amy Blum in 2015, where she specialized in surface chemistry and characterization.  Following graduation, she briefly worked in the department as a research assistant before being hired by AIM Solder in 2017 where she is currently a research scientist.  Her research focuses on developing new assembly materials for electronics and understanding how their composition and processing affects their behaviour during use.

AIM Solder is a leading global manufacturer of solder assembly materials for electronics with facilities located in North America, Europe and Asia.  The company supplies customers across a variety of industries such as medical devices, automotive and renewable energy.  Its innovative R&D program is committed to developing products with a reduced environmental footprint which meet the demands of their customers.

Join us to learn more about her career and company.

Looking forward to meeting you!
